LitFest Event Summary

Humble Beginnings

What began as a simple idea to host a couple of live music acts and share a barrel of beer after Litlington AFC’s summer pre-season tournament has quickly grown into a vital community platform, showcasing fresh talent and helping locals discover exciting new music.

LitFest Live Music Festival

At the main event, LitFest on Saturday 26th July, festival-goers can look forward to eight show-stopping national and regional-level artists, kicking off at 1:45pm with Royston’s own southern rock, blues, and country sensation, Georgia Nevada.

"I am so excited to be a part of LitFest this year! My family run the Limitless Academy drama school in Royston, so the area feels like home to me. LitFest looks like it’s going to be a blast, and Sturge and the team are some of the loveliest people I’ve met in the industry. I can’t wait to play for everyone and bring a little Country Rock to the festival!"

Georgia Nevada, Two-time UK Country iTunes #1 Artist

This year’s LitFest line-up offers something for everyone.

South of Polaris bring their unique blend of Folk-Flamenco-Rock, followed by the distinctive indie flair from Cara Knox and Artaca.  Natalie Gray adds infectious energy with her upbeat Synthpop sound, before the intensity builds to a thrilling crescendo rocking out with grunge powerhouse Bridget.

Headlining the festival are The Kid and I, delivering high-octane rock inspired by the Foo Fighters and Biffy Clyro.

Crowd favourite DJ Luke Richards will spin a high-energy mix of House, Garage, R&B, Motown, Soul, and hits from the '80s, '90s, and 2000s.  It's a genre-spanning line-up that promises to make LitFest unforgettable for Litlington, Royston, and beyond.

Family-Centred Fun

This year’s summer soundtrack is joined by an even more exciting Family Zone, packed with activities for all ages. New for 2025 are an Inflatable Bowling Alley and a 9-hole mini golf course courtesy of Putt Putt Golf. There’s plenty to keep kids and grown-ups entertained!

Non-Profit Event – Join in the Fundraising Activities

With free entry, LitFest offers incredible value for families seeking a full day of entertainment. It means more room in the budget to enjoy on-site activities, delicious food and drink, and of course, a packed schedule of free live music.

Festival-goers are encouraged to support the local community by participating in fundraising efforts, enjoying the Family Zone, and sampling the local street food and drinks. "Litlington is a fantastic village that I have lived in and around all my life, with my family calling the village home for two generations. For me, LitFest is a fantastic opportunity—not just to raise essential funds to help make the football club more sustainable, but also to create a great family event for the wider community."

Jay Wiltshire, First Team Manager & Committee Member, Litlington AFC

LitFest Community Togetherness & Local Pride Sponsored by Local Business

LitFest remains free and accessible thanks to the incredible support and collaboration of local businesses. Their continued investment helps deliver top-tier musical talent, fund stage and lighting infrastructure, and expand the ever-popular Family Zone with exciting new features.

"RK Print have been a part of Litlington village since the 1980s. When we were asked to become a sponsor of LitFest, we saw this as a great opportunity to contribute to the local community. Having seen the festival grow in stature and attendance, it is a pleasure to provide sponsorship again for this year's event."

— Andy James, Managing Director, RK PrintCoat Instruments Ltd

"At Alexander Green, we’re always keen to support events in the local community, so when we heard about LitFest we just had to get involved. Sturge’s passion for live music and up-and-coming local talent has made LitFest what it is today, and we’re confident that this year’s event will be even better than last year’s."
